Biographical / Historical
Many formulae for health remedies appear in the Edgar Cayce readings. After receiving a preparatory reading from his father, Hugh Lynn Cayce and a group of A.R.E. members established the Health Home Remedies Corporation to manufacture IPSAB, a remedy for pyorrhea; T-I-M, a remedy for hemorrhoids; and a number of appliances. The corporation’s two purposes were to make available Cayce reading remedies to the general public and to raise funds for the philanthropic and psychic research activities of the Association for Research and Enlightenment.
Dr. Thomas House, Douglas T. Johnston, Dale Parker, and Hillery Poole joined the venture. Parker subscribed to 25 shares of preferred stock to open offices in Norfolk, Virginia and to proceed with laboratory and clinical tests with local physicians. The A.R.E., Hugh Lynn, and Edgar held the remaining stock.
Johnston served as president of the corporation. Parker served as Treasurer and Director until his resignation in 1936. The Corporation was declared inoperative in 1943.

Custodial History
These materials were originally stored in Hugh Lynn Cayce's file cabinets at the Cayce home in Virginia Beach. The files were moved to the Cayce Hospital building in 1956. Hillery Poole donated additional materials to the Edgar Cayce Foundation in 1978.
