Biographical / Historical

David E. Kahn was born on April 22, 1893 to Solomon and Fannie Kahn in Lexington, Kentucky. He first met Edgar Cayce around the age of fifteen. He became a devoted friend and was responsible for securing three to five thousand readings appointments over the rest of Cayce's life. He helped to finance the Cayce Hospital from 1927 to 1930 and served on its board of directors and as a member of the Association of National Investigators. He became an A.R.E. member at its founding in 1931. He married Lucille Kahn in 1927 and they had 2 children. He and Lucille remained lifelong supporters of the Cayce organizations, served in leadership roles, and traveled widely. David Kahn died on December 7, 1968. His biography, written by Will Oursler based on extensive oral interviews, was published posthumously in 1970.
