This collection documents the professional life of Thomas Sugrue, author, lecturer and journalist. Materials include articles, books, book promotional material, correspondence, lecture materials, magazines, manuscripts, a map, newsclippings, notes, pamphlets, and poetic works. He is most widely known as the author of There Is A River (1942), the first biography of Edgar Cayce. The collection consists of research and manuscripts created during the writing process of There Is A River, as well as documentation on other works. Sugrue wrote works related to Edgar Cayce and to his own interests, as well as on assignment for various publications.
